Anonymous asked: Hi Jake, I have a messenger bag that I use daily to carry my lunch, sunglasses, water bottle, gum, small notepad, the likes. I wear a suit in the creative field everyday, and I was getting tired of the messenger bag with the suit look. I think a briefcase would be too serious and a tote too casual, any recommendations for something that hits right in the middle? Maybe a laid back briefcase or formal tote if that makes any sense. Thank you!
Filson, Ernest Alexander, and Mismo all make laid back briefcases and slightly more formal totes. Il Bisonte makes a really nice zip-top tote, but it is super expensive. Check out Kaufman Mercantile for a few more options as well.
