stuffyoushouldliketoo asked: What are your thoughts about menswear on women? Hot or not? Or do you think there should be a particular balance of feminine/masculine type pieces put together? And when you've seen it done successfully, what did you find made it look good? - Chelsea
I think that, in many cases, menswear can look great on women. To your point, I would say that a balance of pieces is optimal - there were some pictures from pitti of some women rocking blazers and button downs with feminine pieces and I thought they looked pretty fantastic - they’re probably in my archive somewhere. For me, the key to putting it all together is showing some restraint and really looking comfortable and relaxed, while retaining a wisp or air of femininity. It’s an instance where the basic tenets of sprezzatura really become appropriate and a sense of effortlessness comes across very nicely.
