I am a College student whose typical uniform consists of an OCBD, Jeans or Chino’s, paired with a Clark desert boots. My Clarks are worn out and I am afraid their life has come to an end. Do you have any suggestions for a shoe style that would serve as a good alternative to a desert boot for daily casual wear. Thanks.

Why not a pair of suede chukkas with a goodyear welt? Aesthetically they’d be very similar to your Clarks, and you can re-sole them. They will last much longer and should thus justify the possibly higher price tag.
