Anonymous asked: what do you do for work, profession wise

I work in an open cube which is covered in random shit including a multitude of pens and other writing instruments, but no pencils. I have a slight affinity for orange highlighters, even though they are more obtrusive, comprehension-wise, than their yellow brethren. There is a Boston Bruins lil’ brat (If you know you know) on a thumbtack attached to a blue tackboard, which makes up the front wall of my cube (or is it the back wall? I’m never quite sure of my directional cube dynamics…). I have eight poker chips spread around in diasporic fashion, just in case I feel like gathering and shuffling. Half a bottle of Smartwater occupies the east wing of my cube. There is also a dry sponge by the window, for when I need to swab down the humidor in my desk drawer (with the aforementioned Smartwater), which holds about 15 contraband cigars from a small island nation south of Florida currently under economic embargo. There is also a forest green mug next to my telephone which has a lighthouse on it and reminds me of Maine. An old FT sits nearby with an article in it that I was meaning to read, but have since forgotten about. It is likely irrelevant at this point.

I realize none of this actually coincides with my work, but that’s private. If it helps, I work in consulting.
