Re: parkas. Yes Canada Goose is ubiquitous here in Canada. Layering is fine, but the beauty of CG is just with a t-shirt you are warm in -20/ -30c! I though would never buy one. The most style+quality parkas made in Canada are Nobis. See Kato model on website. Here in Montreal my Italian tailor made me a very thick navy wool overcoat (looks like an Attolini) and is warm down to -15c w/ tweed sport jacket etc. Yesterday we had 50cm snow in 18hrs and style becomes irrelevant in a 60km/hr blizzard!
