Welcome to the consulting world - hope all goes well. I use a Filson regularly, which I’m pretty happy with, although it’s not very formal. Other brands I’ve heard good things about include Mismo, Bric’s, Cherchbi, and even Brooks Brothers. It really depends on what style you are looking for - leather, fabric, etc. You could also look around on ebay or in various thrift stores for something vintage. I have a vintage Coach briefcase, which is pretty badass.
