Welcome to our Siege of Dragonspear Review. Siege of Dragonspear is the 2016 expansion to the 2012 enhanced edition of Baldur’s Gate, a Dungeons & Dragons classic released in 1998.

As part of our Road to Baldur’s Gate III series, we took on the challenge to play and review Siege of Dragons spear and herein lie our thoughts.

This is a computer RPG review, it’s not meant to comment on the D &D ruleset or on how well Siege of Dragonspear or Baldur’s Gate implemented it in its mechanics. This review is for non RPG specialized gamers who maybe hyped about Baldur’s Gate III because of the trailers and footage of BG3 they’ve seen and who have, maybe, played Larian Studio’s Divinity Original Sin II.

There are many games you could play in preparation for Baldur’s Gate III: Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate Siege of Dragonspear, Baldur’s Gate II Shadows of Amn, Icewind Dale, Icewind Dale Heart of Winter, Icewind Dare II, Neverwinter Nights 2, NWN 2 Mask of the Betrayer, NWN Storm of Zehir. If you only have time for one or two of these… should Siege of Dragonspear be one of them?Hopefully our review will help you decide.
